Words that open the season.
Literary Spring at Refugium Lunz
January & February and April through June – always on the second Saturday of the month.
Following our Literary Autumn, a new season of listening and discovery begins at Refugium Lunz: the Literary Spring. Once again curated by Petra Hartlieb, whose instinct for powerful voices, compelling themes and remarkable books has guided our series from the very beginning. These readings bring authors to the house whose works move, surprise or simply ask to be told — each in their own way.
From January to June, selected writers join us — always on the second Saturday of the month. The season opens on 10 January 2026 with Andreas Jungwirth and his novel Alle meine Namen. Jungwirth comes from the world of radio drama and has spent many years working in broadcasting; his readings blend text, voice and original audio recordings in a way that makes his performances unmistakable. His current book is based on a series of conversations with his aunt; excerpts from these interviews flow into the reading as sound, lending the evening a rare, almost documentary intimacy.
In the months that follow, we welcome voices ranging from bestselling novelist Vea Kaiser to historical crime writer Alex Beer and journalist and bestselling author Florian Klenk — writers who open spaces for stories, reflections and conversation.
Additional dates will be announced here.
