Mayr & Glatzl im Refugium
Joachim Mayr and Heinz Glatzl didn’t just develop the Refugium – they made it possible. What feels so effortless here is the result of two worlds coming together: the architecture and interior design of M&G, and the craftsmanship and technical precision of Tischlerei Mayr. Their workshop in Lunz am See produces not only furniture, but custom-made solutions, refined details and pieces with character – carefully planned, regionally crafted and shaped by a keen sense of material and proportion.
With M&G, the two lead a studio that approaches spaces holistically: atmosphere, light, furniture, surfaces. And with Tischlerei Mayr, they have the craftsmanship and know-how to turn these ideas into reality down to the smallest detail. This foundation is further strengthened by the FORMDEPOT partner companies – a network where planning culture, craftsmanship and deep material knowledge meet.
The Refugium is therefore also a quiet yet very present stage for their work. A place where you can feel how M&G develops spaces and how Tischlerei Mayr makes them tangible: through selected interior pieces, fine materials, bespoke furniture, thoughtful built-ins and details you may only notice on a second glance – and won’t forget afterwards.
For anyone who falls in love with something at the Refugium – a piece of furniture, a light, a material – there is good news: many of these elements can be brought into your own home. M&G supports with planning and selection; Tischlerei Mayr creates custom solutions that last.
