Cooking with the seasons — appreciating what nature gives us and serving it in all its glory. "Savoring, trying new things, reviving old techniques. That's what life tastes like at the Lunz Refuge," smiles Christian Metzger, the chef at the Refuge, when we asked him about his kitchen line.

 

Using only the essentials and the quality of the products is what allows us to get the best out of the Lunz am See region. At the same time, the selection of local suppliers also plays a significant role. The time taken, the craftsmanship behind it, and the dedication that goes into every process reflect themselves on the palate. Traditional dishes, astonishing interpretations, but always prepared and conceived with love, our specialties and á la carte offers can be tasted and savored.


Techniques and crafts can be learned and practiced.
