The Salonküche: The Heart of Our House


REALLY GOOD PARTIES ALWAYS HAPPEN IN THE KITCHEN. IT'S THE SAME HERE.


Here you can arrive, unload, and recharge. The Salonküche is a place of coming together. It creates a connection between Lunz and its residents, our house guests, and travelers passing by. Because it is open to everyone who wants to refresh and refuel. In good weather, with wide-open windows and tables in the Salon Garden at the church square. Come as you are. For hotel guests, the Salonküche is always open.

We depend on what nature, the region, and the people around Lunz am See yield. We pay great attention and respect to that. It’s worth paying a certain price. And to help maintain sustainable agriculture and traditional production in the region. You won't find avocados in the Mostviertel; we only have strawberries when they ripen in the fields around us. In its previous life, our meat ate the grass from Lunz and probably drank water from the Ybbs. At any rate, it comes from here. From one of our producers and partner farms.

As much as we are convinced that seasonal cooking and regionality are what expresses the quality on our plates the most, we also know that our aspiration isn't possible without taking breaks.

 

It takes time to start a bread dough, to knead it and then bake it. Time to pickle vegetables, marinate meat and find new inspirations. That's why our à la carte restaurant isn't open every day of the week. However, in our Salonküche you will always find delicacies and treats we prepared for you, 24/7.
